Biography

Welcome to Union's Speech Spot! I am a proud graduate of Auburn University where I received a masters degree in Communication Disorders. After a brief stay in Montgomery, AL, my husband and I moved to Macon. I have worked in many Bibb County schools, including Hartley, Riley, Alex II, Jessie Rice, and Union Elementary, which has been my school home for the past 16 years. I am the mother to four children, all of whom have grown faster than they should. I love my brand new kitten and all my students at Union!

Personal Message

I am a certified speech language pathologist who has spent the last 25 years providing speech services to children in the public schools. As an SLP, I am responsible for evaluating students for speech and language needs, and creating a remediation plan to help students learn to express themselves to their best ability. Speech therapy covers articulation, language, fluency (stuttering) and voice disorders. I have been at Union for many years now and have loved watching my students grow and grow!  Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding your Union Star student.
