Stokes, Amy

Ms. Stokes

Teaching has always been a passion of mine.  So…. you could say I was always destined to become a teacher.
Like most teachers, as I was growing up, I would “play” school.  I used all of my baby dolls and stuff animals to create my students.  I know that I am doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing!

I have four fur babies.  Two dogs named Gracie and Max and two cats named Black Cat and White Cat.  My hobbies includes gardening, canning, and cake decorating.

Education:

B.S.: Mississippi State University, Childhood Education

M.Ed.: University of Mississippi, Curriculum and Instruction

I have been teaching for 25+ years. I began teaching in 1994 at South Pontotoc Elementary School until 1996. I continued teaching in Memphis, Tennessee where I taught at Knight Road Elementary before looping with my students to Wooddale Middle School until 2006. In 2006 I moved to Georgia where I started teaching at Union Elementary and have been here since.

I am extremely lucky to be a part of the Union Family. I am looking forward to learning with and challenging my students.
